Education is the essence of Plateau Inc. Our informative seminars have become a requested resource for anyone interested in building quality, mold, and air quality. To date we have been invited to speak for the National Association of Homebuilders, the National Association of Realtors, the International Code Council of Colorado, public schools, hospitals, insurance industry groups, as well as the general public.
Why do we care so much about educating people. First, it is the
fundamental responsibility of an engineer to protect the health, safety
and welfare of the public. It is part of our "Code of Ethics", as well
as being the law.
Secondly, in the industries we serve, useful information is hard to find, or is misused by unsavory practitioners bent on making an easy living. The mold industry is a case in point. There is considerable disinformation that is used by "fly-by-night" contractors. This is further exacerbated by a dearth of regulated consumer protections.
